Indian restaurant The Ocean is the top place to eat in Coventry, according to Trip Advisor.
Here are the top 10 restaurants in the city – according to independent reviews. Rankings correct as of Thursday, February 6, 2014.
1. The Ocean, Jubilee Crescent, Radford
There are 32 reviews posted on this restaurant
TriuumphNed said: "We have been eating at the Ocean for years, and it has always been a favourite. There is a wide menu, with lots of unique dishes, and it often pays to experiment.
"Ikky, the very OTT manager, is happy to explain the dishes, and make recommendations. I had the Chicken Akbari as Ikky said it would be 'flavoursome' - and it was.
"But the old favourites are really good as well - try the Pathia - it's the best around. And our veggie friend always cleans her plate. Lots of nice touches, like hot plates that you don't see in many places, and after eights with the bill if you ask nicely.
"Prices are usually not too bad but going for the specials can add a few pounds. Still good value and it's worth a wee bit extra just for Ikky!"
2. Fitz2Eat, Cross Road, Foleshill
There are 14 reviews posted on this restaurant
Rob W said: "I popped into Fitz2Eat for a coffee as I was on my way to a meeting and due to the hospitality I received I decided to stay for food too.
"The food was fantastic and the service was even better, the lady who served me was absolutely adorable... I would revisit just to chat to her!"
3. Asiana, Holbrook Lane, Holbrooks

HighlyHonoured said: "Why travel from Birmingham to Coventry for an Asian meal? Because the Asiana is simply fabulous.
"Fantastic food, great signature dishes, attentive service, reasonable price and stunning decor. What more could one want?
"Well worth the trip."
4. Kahawa Cafe, New Union Street, city centre
There are 21 reviews on the cafe
Simon P said: "This is a gem of a coffee shop. Very friendly staff who are informed about the drinks on offer and a nice space where you can relax easily.
"Wi-fi access provided for customers (see your receipt for the code) which is a nice touch. The coffee is of high standard, not completely drowned by milk like the well-known outlets.
"Genuinely good stuff."
5. Turmeric Gold, Spon Street, city centre
There are 506 reviews on this restaurant
Sarah C said: "Turmeric Gold boasts a beautiful setting in a medieval oasis in the centre of Coventry.
"I wouldn't change a thing about the look of it - which is somewhat quirky - but when you enter you're not quite sure what to expect.
"However, be prepared for a very pleasant surprise - this is by far and away the best Indian cuisine I've tasted.
"The food is fresh, and beautifully prepared and the spices subtly blended.
"The service is great, too."
6. 2 Tone Cafe & Simmer Down Restaurant, Ball Hill
There are 84 reviews on this restaurant
Colin_App_67 said: "Top notch! Discovered the Simmer Down restaurant while visiting the 2 Tone Village and completely fell in love with the place.
"Fabulous authentic Caribbean food with friendly and accommodating service to match. A real hidden gem!"
7. Court 6, Spon Street, city centre
There are 95 reviews on this restaurant
Natty F: The decor is lovely, and the food to an excellent standard.
"The best Keema Naan ever and delicious Achari sauce on the king prawns. It is set in medieval Spon street, and the old wooden beams add atmosphere as does the friendly owner who gives reductions at his own digression but not as standard.
"Refreshingly authentic in a world growing more corporate and impersonal by the day."

"All three in our party tried the stir fry which was cooked to order in front of us and all agreed it was possibly the best Chinese dish we'd ever had.
"Lovely, friendly staff too. Will definitely be back when we're next in Coventry."
